PPE for UCVTS Faculty & Staff
Donation protected
As we quickly approach the reopening of the UCVTS campus to a hybrid learning environment the staff that will be interacting with the students will not be provided with PPE.
According to the Union County Vocational-Technical Schools District Pandemic Restart and Recovery Plan the following staff whose job responsibilities involve increased exposure shall be provided with appropriate PPE to perform his/her duties.
Such staff members include:
Nurses
Custodians/Maintenance
Cafeteria workers
School Safety/CPR Teams
Staff members who perform temperature screenings
The rest of us are on our own. We are once again purchasing supplies for our classroom out of our own pockets. The difference this year is that it is not only dry erase markers and pencils, but protective equipment to assist in keeping us and our students from being exposed to COVID 19 on our campus. We are asking the UCVTS community to help us by making a donation to this Go Fund Me - this will provide us with the funds to make some PPE purchases for our staff.
Our students represent every town in Union County - an infection on our campus has implications for the entire county! Help us protect ourselves, our students and our county as we begin the 20-21 school year.
Thank you.
