Help out of rock bottom

Hi my name is Eric, I am fundraising for my family. 2022 ended with a few bad things and a blessing. As we rolled into 2023, we had what seemed like a truck load dumped on us. It started out with a call that shocked my wife. The call was that my stepson over dosed. The medics were able to revive him thank god. The next day we were looking into rehab with suggestions from local professonals to send him to a facility away from our area. By the end of the day we had a plan and a plane ticket purchased to a rehab facility in California. All that added to what he did in last two months of 2022 when he also got a speeding ticket, wreckless op, and totalled his car in one trip and then wrecked the vehicle we borrowed from my parents for him to get to work and back.

A week after his OD, our world was given an even lower blow. I was let go from my job. This started what seemed like a never ending time trying to find a job. I had to get Cobra insurance for my stepson which was $800 a month. It took 5 months to find a job, in that time bills piled up. We paid what was needed to survive and let everything else go.

But remember I mentioned a blessing. We had a baby in September 2022. The medical bills & bills piled up. Then luck would have it we were expecting again in the middle of my unemployment. We were blessed with our first baby girl at the end of September 2023.

But as of today, I have been working since June. I have 2 healthy kids. My stepson is doing better. My wife is dealing with some postpartum depression and anxiety but is doing better with some medications.

So I’m fundraising to help my family. The debt has piled up and we could use some help if you’re willing to donate. The goal amount doesn’t even eliminate the bill pile. But anything that is raised helps my family.
