My sister, Amy, and our sweet Faye, want to thank you for your kindness!  As of 10/4/2018, the girls will be sharing $5815 plus the $1000 received directly from Texas A1.  As a gift to my sister & Faye, I will be covering the processing fees that gofundme charges.  So once the money is collected, I will be writing checks to the girls for the full $5815 you all have collectively donated.  SO EVERY DOLLAR each of you have so generously given will be given to the girls.

UPDATE:  We have increased the goal amount as Faye has been informed she will have up to $25,000 out-of-pocket medical expenses for her life-saving surgery that insurance will not cover.   She needs all the assistance she can get! 

When Faye was 19, she was diagnosed with kidney failure. For the past 3 years, she has undergone kidney dialysis 3x a week for 3 hours each session.  She still comes to work after dialysis, tired, weak, fake vein put in and has a very strict diet! This transplant will totally change her life.

Amy started working with Faye and became curious about Faye's disease and the transplant process. A few months from their initial conversation and many, many medical tests later...THE GIRLS ARE OFFICIALLY A MATCH!! Their life-saving kidney transplant is scheduled for Friday, September 28th in San Antonio, Texas.

They will have expenses for transportation, hotel & LOSS OF WAGES!! Amy, as the donor, is expected to be out of work for up to 6 weeks and Faye, the recipient, will be out for up to 6 months. Both girls are servers at a local restaurant and so there is not vacation/sick pay available to them.
