Antoinette's Cancer Fight

Donation protected
Antoinette's a fighter & had been winning the fight against Neuroblastoma since being diagnosed at age 8. Last week, the prognosis was grim, an aggressive form of the cancer had returned. Head, knees, spine, neck, femur, lymph nodes...STOP! You get the picture.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NY has been at the forefront of her care from the beginning  & has been amazed at how well she has done up to this point. So it was very disheartening to hear that things had taken a drastic turn for the worse.

The grim suggestion to take her home make her comfortable & put her on "palliative care" to manage her pain till its upgraded to "hospice care" broke her & her mother's heart as well as all of us who so adore, admire, support & deeply love her.

With disappointing news like that Antoinette has had the best attitude & has remained strong & ever more determined to fight the fight.  She, along with her mother, decided that shes not going to submit to the Dr's suggestion of going home & being made comfortable to the end. No! thats not living. Besides that she's not experiencing MUCH pain right now, which also has the Dr's baffled with the amount of cancer all over her body. She has so much to live for: her siblings, nieces & nephews & the list goes on.

Well Antoinette's not giving up, so let's help her fight. Her mother, Raquel, who's been championing her long fight has done her research, made tons of calls & spoken with other parents whose children have had the same grim diagnosis & prognosis which was to go home & prepare for their final days when the Dr's could do no more. Raquel has been given two options:#1  Aggressive Chemotherapy where she'll lose ALL her hair again & which will cause her to be very sick & wreck major havoc on her already frail body but MAYBE will buy her some time. Or option #2: trying an alternative method by taking her to Mexico (where other parents have taken their kids who too were sent home & whose parents didn't give up & also sought alternate options such as these and are now doing well & still improving) to the Immunotherapy Center or to the Hope for Cancer Center that specializes in last stage cancer as well as other ailments. These are not easy decisions to be made but as parents we will do, give & seek out the BEST for our children. This is what Raquel is doing for her Antoinette whom she loves with all her being.

With this being said Alternative Care isn't  covered by Insurance. It's an expense that comes out of our own pocket.  So Antoinette's gonna need a lot of help from all of her family, friends, extended  family & any who just care & want to help her & her mother get her to Mexico to start the treatments. This is what SHE wants to do to continue her fight & believe me she's not giving  up without a fight.  So PLEASE help us reach this goal.  Any amount is neither to small or to big.  ALL AMOUNTS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!  $1 gets us closer to her goal (Mexico)! Thank you to all who are able to donate to her fund because we realize that times are hard for many of us right now. PLEASE SHARE THIS ON YOUR PAGES. Love you all!
