London Marathon - Fundraising for West Lodge

Mrs Rackham (Purple Class) and Mrs Wilson (Silver Class) are running the London Marathon on Sunday 21st April to raise money for FOWLS (Friends of West Lodge School). We hope to raise £5000 to further develop our outdoor learning provision at West Lodge Primary School. This will support the development of positive mental health and wellbeing by enabling children to spend more time outside, connect to nature and be more physically active. Taking learning outdoors, across the whole curriculum, will also have a positive impact on pupils’ focus and concentration whilst in the classroom, therefore enabling children to reach their academic potential.

We will use the funding raised to purchase a range of resources that will facilitate outdoor learning across the whole curriculum and will enable the school to maximise the use of the range of outdoor learning spaces that we have around our site.
