PPXC x LA Marathon

On November 7th, PPXC will celebrate a reunification in a way only PPXC can appreciate: gather from far and wide to run the Los Angeles Marathon.

As important as celebrating one another is supporting the city through which we will run.

Food insecurity and food scarcity are pervasive in Los Angeles. As we approach a holiday based around abundance it is our obligation to help those in need. It's the least we can do.

After all, Pomona was the Greek goddess of fruit trees, gardens, and orchards.

Since 1973, the Food Bank has distributed more than 1.1 billion pounds of food. The Food Bank collects food from hundreds of resources. With the help of 37,000 volunteers annually and an agency network of more than 600 partner agencies, we serve more than 300,000 people on a monthly basis. The vision statement of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is that no one goes hungry in Los Angeles County.
