Medical expenses

This past Thursday kaitlyn started to experience intense lower back pain that progressed to muscle weakness and numbness in her legs. By that afternoon she was unable to walk and sent to the e.r and admitted to Woodland Heights and later that night transferred to UT Tyler. 9 MRIS, a PICC line, x rays, and a spinal tap later she gets the diagnosis of Transverse Myelitis. Rare neurological inflammation of the spinal cord confirmed by a lesion spotted in her MRI. She is unable to move her left leg and has minimal feeling in her right leg. Pins and needles throughout her legs. This will be a long recovery involving in-patient and outpatient rehab for weeks/months. Series of high dose steroids and potentially plasma treatments depending on whether steroids help. Any amount helps as she will need medical equipment Including shower chair, wheelchair, cane, PT equipment, etc. her medical bills will be insane and will be out of work for weeks (likely several months) depending on her progression. They do not know her healing time as this disease hits everyone different and recovery time varies.
