Prairie Rose

My biggest, and best (and only) sister, Prairie Rose, took her 40th trip around the sun this year!!! She has been the best big sister, role model, and mother anyone could ask for. For MY birthday this year, I am starting a fundraiser to help Prairie become a sailboat captain!!

This is a lifelong goal of Prairie's and I am hoping you can help her achieve it!

Prairie has her Class 2 sailing license and needs only one more course to become a fully licensed international sailboat captain!!

I realize this is not an medical emergency or a earthquake type of situation, however helping a single person achieve their dreams has a life-altering butterfly effect for her loved ones, family, and friends. Not to mention she can take you on a sailboat! And it's two birthday gifts for the price of one!! ;)

She has been working hard as a mother, wife, sister, daughter, and community member, all the while putting her own dreams aside. It is my goal to help her realize her dream that she has so altruistically set aside.

I am gathering a total of $1,500 that will be used to directly support the license fees, course, and test that goes along with this process. Prairie is scheduled to take a 3-day course at the end of June so the funds must be raised by then!! Any and all amounts are so generously appreciated as we launch Prairie on a mission to become the next female sailboat captain of Alaska, and the world!

When I spoke to Prairie about this possibility she was so thrilled, but then quickly became intimidated because she thought she would never be able to do something like this while still fulfilling her role as a mother and pillar of her community. Please help me show her how much her happiness and self-realization is so important to all of us!!
