Stalling Update (2023-07-15 12:45 AM ET)
Prakash's family is leaving to India tonight (Saturday) with Prakash's remains. So we feel that this is the opt time to stall this fundraiser. Thankyou very much to everyone who has contributed for this noble cause. I am reiterating again that all these funds raised will be used ONLY for the betterment of this family. 95% of the fund has been processed and already deposited to Indumathi's Canada account and the remaining amount also will be processed by Gofundme team and transferred in the next couple of days. You shall reach me any time to get the status on the progress of these transfers and the handling of these funds. Thankyou so much once again for your generous support for my friend's family. I will pray to God to shower the blessings to you all. #SpreadLove

My Friend Prakash has came to Canada just towards the end of 2022. He was living with his wife and an 18 months old boy in Brampton. Unfortunately he has passed away by a fatal accident done by a impaired driving lady on 3rd July 2023 in Brampton. We have just begun this fund raising activity to support the family (his wife Indumathi and kid) and get his body transported to Tamilnadu, India. Even a penny from your pocket will help the family in some ways, atlast this is the least thing we could do to stand by his family during this tough times.

Update(2023-07-05 4PM ET):
Thankyou soo much for all those 3000 odd generous people who have contributed here and those who have been spreading this cause anonymously.
We have begun this fund raiser with just 15k as the goal. But we have been keep increasing as we get more reach for this.
We will be keep doing so, to harvest the generousity while promising you all that all these funds will be used only for the betterment of the family. Because the organization with which Prakash was working has taken the responsibility for the funeral home services and the transportation of Prakash's remains and his wife and the expenses for sending a companion with Indumathi. Hence all the money raised from this initiative will be used for the future of this family. Our initial plan would be to do a fixed deposit of around 70% of the fund raised to the kid's name and making the clause that it would be received by him only from his 18 years of age in few terms in 1 or 2 years interval helping his university education, further higher studies, wedding, settling. And the remaining 30% to be deposited in Prakash's wife Indumathi's name for both of their well-being. All these will happen legally with the help of an attorney.
If you want to contact me to know the progress, please write to the below mail id.
I might take time to respond one by one, but I will definitely respond to your valid queries.
Thankyou very much once again. Let's continue pouring our generousity to ensure that the family get better from the tragedy.!
Update (2023-07-06 11.45 PM ET):
I have been getting few responses from few donors asking if this fundraiser is legitimate or a scam just because I have been keep on changing the goal. I have been responding to them personally even by sharing my personal contact number. I am really not at all offended by these doubtings, because this is expected in this scam-proned era. But this is LEGITIMATE.
This is the same John Kennady Francis who was with Indumathi in that Global News coverage (link shared above). You can contact me for any details since I am answerable for all those who support for this cause. I will continue to do answer for your queries.
We are changing the goal to 300k one last time and would be content with whatever we might ending up with. Once again I promise that this will be solely used for the betterment of the family only. Thankyou for spreading this again.

The full money has been received in Indumathi's Canada account after deducting the fees of 6k by Gofundme. As many of the donors have requested to me, we have planned to give at least upto 15-20% of the collected fund to Prakash's parents who are also impacted heavily due to this loss. We will keep you all posted the same.
