The Second Chance program was started in 2011 to give dropout students, especially girls, a chance to complete their Secondary School education and acquire the skills necessary for employment. It is a 15 month program that targets young girls and women who have dropped out of school and helps them pass their Secondary School Examination.
Apart from that it also aims to raise awareness about educating girls and women so that they can break the regressive barriers of caste and religion.
Main objectives of the program
To help girls and young women from underserved communities complete their secondary school education.
To provide market relevant vocational skills to the students in order to increase their employability.
To focus on personality development and confidence building to make them strong individuals.
