Pray for Joey Ramirez

Hi, my name is Ahmad, I am 24 years old, and I have been best friends with Joey for as long as I can remember. He's 24, loves God and is probably the most positive, supportive human to walk this earth. He has always been there for me and everyone; this is the least I could do to try and support him.

 

On March 23rd, Wednesday morning, Joey Ramirez was in an accident at work where a solid piece of metal the size of a phone flew out from his CNC machine and struck him. The force of the impact shattered his pelvis, hip socket, and broke his femur. The piece then traveled up and entered his lower abdomen where it was lodged in his bladder. These injuries resulted in immediate damage and potential life-altering long-term complications. Two trauma surgeries later, and we are lucky to have Joey with us today. 
Thankfully due to swift and immediate action, his coworkers quickly stunted the bleeding before the ambulance arrived. Due to quick response times, and by the grace of god Joey quickly made it to Sarasota Memorial Hospital where they immediately took him into trauma surgery to remove the piece of metal. They got him stable Wednesday afternoon and took him into surgery Thursday morning to repair his hip and femur. As of right now, it’s a waiting game. We are praying for no infections and good blood flow as only time will tell.
Joey will not be able to place weight on his left leg for 3-4 months. His recovery will be a long battle. We are starting this fund to help relieve some of the financial pressures that Joey and his girlfriend Angela are going to face.
Joey is loved by many and has had his whole family, friends, and amazing girlfriend by his side through his recovery process. Through various communities, Joey has made an impact on so many people. His kindness and warm heart have made it difficult to be a bystander through these tough times. This is why I made this GoFundMe for anyone who wants to help contribute what they can. Everything is appreciated in these tough times. It’s going to be an extremely long, painful & expensive recovery process. It’s going to take a village.
