Nathan and Olivia Weigel Family

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Nathan's first cousin, Jacob Weigel & even though Nathan and Olivia Weigel are not asking for donations, I am starting this GoFundMe due to numerous requests from those who want to help.

On April 16th, 2024, Nathan and Olivia gave birth to twin boys, Bennett & Sawyer Weigel. The twins were born at just 22 weeks and 2 days. Bennett weighed 12oz at birth and Sawyer weighed 14oz at birth.

For the rest of the story I am pulling from their CaringBridge site:

"Life as we know it is beautiful, inspiring, full of joy, but also full of things we can’t control. Nathan and I are finding more meaning to this as each day arrives. In January, we found out we were having twins. My, how our hands were going to be so full. We just didn’t know how quite full at the time.

April 16th, 2024, will forever be one of our favorite and hardest days. The day we met our two beautiful babies, had to say goodbye to one, and stay strong for the other.

Sawyer John (Baby A) made his debut at 12:52pm. He hasn’t stopped kicking and squirming since he’s been out. He’s our little fighter and is proving to us that he’s trying his hardest to defy odds. He’s been stable and is in the best care at the Fargo NICU. He’s strong just like his daddy and loves to listen to mom’s voice.

Bennett Andrew (Baby B) who is named after his Great Grandpa Ben, made his entrance at 12:54pm. He was also a little fighter. He was the twin who always hid from the ultrasound techs in my ribs and caused all sorts of mischief like kicking his brother. Unfortunately, Bennett wasn’t quite as strong as his older brother and decided to visit all our loved ones that are up in heaven who we believe greeted him with open arms. We are so lucky to have met this little angel and we will always cherish the short moments we shared with him.

Nathan and I just want to give everyone a warm thank you for all the texts, calls, visits, prayers, etc. We’re at a time that makes having a support system so special. We feel all the prayers as we are navigating through this time as well as while we continue to be by Sawyer.

We can’t say enough great things about our Doctors, nurses, and other staff at both the Bismarck and Fargo Sanfords. We are being taken care of by the best people possible and Sawyer is so lucky to be getting care here. I can’t say enough good things about these facilities.

And finally, we ask for the continued prayers. We’re on a rollercoaster and aren’t sure what each day will bring for us. Our faith and family are keeping us strong and we will stay hopeful for our little Sawyer.

Please text Olivia, Nathan, Eric, Myla, Randy, or Cindy if you would like to come visit. We are only allowed 4 visitors including Nathan and Olivia so we want to make sure everyone can get the chance to see him. Thank you!"
