Pray for Roman

Late last year Roman DeAngelis, aged 8, was diagnosed with a very rare type of brain tumour. He requires daily treatment at the Royal Children’s Hospital.  Roman is a Year 3 student at St Patrick’s, Lilydale. His mother, Linda DeAngelis, works at Holy Spirit Community School Ringwood North. She worked with prep students in 2019 as a Learning Support Officer. Due to the severity of Roman’s illness and the daily treatment required she is unable to work. We are raising funds to support Roman and Linda. Roman is currently being transported by Linda from Lilydale to the hospital, on a daily basis for treatment.  This financial support will assist with medical expenses, supporting his grandparents who live overseas, to assist be relocating to Melbourne in the short to medium term as well as for travel expenses. We are aiming to raise $15000 by the end of the year. Financial assistance is required urgently as treatment has begun. We are urging both school communities to get behind this cause firstly by donating to this campaign as well as spreading this appeal as far and wide as possible. Given the specialised nature of firstly Roman’s condition as well as his treatment, financial assistance is the preferred method of help at this time.
