Prayer Garden Grotto St Marys Church Castleblayney
Donation protected
It has been decided to create a Grotto/Prayer Garden dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima at the entrance to St Mary's Church Castleblayney.
Approval has been granted by the then Parish Priest Canon Shane McCaughey, and endorsed by our now Parish Priest Fr Adrian Walshe, and permission to collect donations by the Garda.
All works will be provided by Blayney Slúagh members on a voluntary basis.
Due to the covid19 our plans to raise much needed funds to purchase the relevant materials stonework/sand/gravel/paving/plants is not now possible in the way we had planed.
So we have turned to the community through the social media channels for support.
We have set up an Acc with the AIB in town for the Grotto/Prayer Garden which is linked to this call for support.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could support in any small way to the Grotto/Prayer Garden which will stand within the community for generations.
We would like to thank all who have donated before the covit19 stopped our plans to raise the funds to complete the work.
If you have already supported, could you please share.
A big thanks to Joe Heary for making the benches and the Men's Shed Castleblayney for donating them to the Garden.
I will post updates as the work progresses..
Thanks.
Peter.
