Prayers and Support for Baby Gryphon's Healing Heart Journey
Donation protected
As most of you know, my brother Tyler and my sister-in-law Bria have been at CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia) with their newborn son, my nephew Gryphon, who was born on 3/21/25. He just had open-heart surgery. His surgery was successful on 4/11/25. Though a positive surgery, their road to recovery as of now is looking like months.
Their story of baby Gryphon! Gryphon was born a healthy 8lb 2oz little boy, greeted home by his older brothers Duke, Orion, and Gideon. Their family is finally complete with their 4 boys. Gryphon, while at his week-old visit, the pediatrician noticed he had a heart murmur. My sister-in-law then took him to a pediatric cardiologist on 4/8/25 to just make sure everything was okay with his little heart. As she was at the cardiologist, Gryphon was showing symptoms of a serious heart condition. His skin was discolored, and he was losing blood flow and oxygen to the lower half of his body. He was then quickly transported to the hospital. By the grace of God, he showed symptoms that day, or he may have had a different outcome. He was then transported to CHOP. The next day, he underwent a 4-hour procedure to open his aortic valve and increase blood flow to his heart. Shortly after, they decided he needed open-heart surgery. Gryphon was diagnosed with critical aortic stenosis. When the surgeon went in to repair his aortic valve, he found that Gryphon had a coronary artery blockage and told my brother and sister-in-law it’s a miracle he is here! If he isn’t a true testimony from Christ himself, I don’t know who or what is. Gryphon, you are a true fighter, and we are all praying for you, for your strength, your healing, and your future!!
From my family to yours, I ask for continued prayers for Gryphon, his parents, and his brothers, prayers for our entire family, and prayers for the doctors and nurses helping Gryphon heal and recover.
As a mom myself, I can’t imagine their stress, anxiety, and pain seeing their sweet boy going through all this, but I hope you can find it in your heart to even donate $5 towards food, travel, housing expenses, or any medical bills that come their way.
My brother and sister-in-law would NEVER ask for anyone’s help, but I know this is the right thing to do for them, to relieve some of the worry and let this new journey with their family be a little relieved and easier.
Thank you all for reading their story, praying, and donating or sharing. We appreciate it!
God bless Gryphon, he is God’s true miracle
