Prayers and Support for Julia Poole's Healing Journey

On behalf of the Poole family, specifically Julia Poole, we are prayerfully seeking help from Jesus to provide for the needs of this precious Ohana.

A message from Pastor Greg Poole:

Julia Kathleen Poole (27 years old, with plans to get married to Josh Burton end of August) needs your prayers!

The poisoning in Julia’s body has destroyed her stomach lining, and every joint and tendon hurts. At 27 she says it feels like she is in her 80’s. The list of problems are very extensive. There is no known protocol to rebuild a person in this condition within our medical system that we have found in Hawaii.

Julia has a severe poisoning syndrome from the fluoroquinolone. This is called Fluoroquinolone-associated Disability FQAD. In addition, she has indications for further metabolic changes, which could make treatment more difficult at the beginning.

This volume of suffering is beyond anything I have seen in all my years as a pastor. And yet we praise God. Julia's faith has grown strong and she wants to be an advocate for others that go through this. Julia has been sending me Bible verses!

Right now this child needs someone to help, someone to hear her, someone to provide some relief. I continue to cry out to God for help. Help has shown up in some little things and some big. But we are on our faces asking God to stop the suffering and turn things for our good and His glory. Take this horrific pain and suffering away for her and all of us.

We have made a decision to head to Los Angeles today 7/9/2024 in hope of help at a place called Regenerative Medicine, LA. We are relying on Jesus completely to give us strength to make the flight and favor for help. We pray with all our heart for Julia to survive the flight and it to cause no more harm. Please pray for this trip for her to be peaceful and safe. Please pray for us to get there and for God to use this team to provide her some comfort, healing and relief. Julia said, "Dad I have to try something", and all we know to do is support her in hope and effort no matter the cost. We have done all we can do. I ask God to do what I can’t, to rebuild her body and everything else she and all of us need. You truly don’t know how precious our lives are and how God holds them together until they are taken or fallen apart.

Lisa and I are exhausted and don’t know how to go on. Lord I pray with all my heart for you to remove this suffering from Julia and to heal her. This I pray in Jesus name. Please pray for Julia and Josh and us.
