Prayers and support needed for the Beede family

UPDATE: On October 8, 2024, our beloved Mom passed from this world. As in life, her passing was on her own terms under the exact circumstances she wanted: listening to the comforting words of her pastor and surrounded by her devoted family. She leaves behind a large community of grieving friends and family, all of whom are better people for having known her. Proceeds from this GoFundMe campaign will now also be directed toward her funeral service and related expenses.

Hello, my name is Jess and I am reaching out to ask for your support during a challenging time for our family. My partner's mother has been bravely battling Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a condition that has significantly impacted her health and quality of life. EDS affects joint hypermobility, skin hyperextensibility, and tissue fragility. She has rapidly declined over the last two years and is now also showing signs of ALS. She has lost her speech, mobility in her hands and legs, and has difficulty swallowing. If you've ever had the pleasure of meeting Marann, she is an absolute warrior. She never lets her faith falter; she is positive, kind, and an amazing person. She is someone who makes you feel as if you're a part of the family upon meeting her. She always puts her loved ones first; she is one of the most selfless people I've had the pleasure of meeting and becoming close to.

Currently, she is on hospice at home, surrounded by her loved ones who are dedicating their time to provide her with the care and comfort she needs. As they prioritize being by her side, the family is facing a financial strain due to time taken off work and the increased medical expenses. I am seeking your generosity to help ease this burden and allow them to focus on creating precious memories together during this difficult journey. Any contribution, no matter how small, would make a meaningful difference. Anything really to help ease their load.
