Help Baby Ilse Fight Cancer

For those who don’t know me, my name is Ilse Aguilar. Late July my youngest child Ilse was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma a rare form of cancer just weeks after turning 1 year old. In Late May we were told by her pediatrician she had a severe sinus infection, after multiple doses of antibiotics we notice her eye beginning to swell. We were referred to multiple specialists and everything came back normal and again they advised us to continue giving her the antibiotics that were prescribed. After finishing her treatment plan we were still concerned because the swelling in her eye hadn’t gone back to normal as they had told us it would, we decided to contact her pediatrician once again since she started to show a bump on the side her neck and that is when her doctor advised us to immediately take her to the emergency room. Once we arrived to Phoenix Children’s Hospital multiple specialist had no clue what was wrong. A week and ahalf after being admitted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital we were finally given the heart wrenching news no parent wants to hear. It has been heart rending having to watch my baby Ilse go through so much at such a young age. She is now on her 3rd Cycle of chemotherapy treatment that we are hoping will reduce the tumor pressing against her airway. Understandably we’ve taken some unpaid leave in order to take Ilse to her hospital appointments, treatments and surgeries needed. Resulting in unexpected bills, co-pays, prescription costs, meal and gas costs while being away from home.
