Prayers for Blake Keith

Donation protected
Friends, Family, Neighbors,
We are coming to you today asking for help. We have helped the Keith family before and loved this entire family through so many things, I'm asking you to do this again, for Blake.

Thank you for your patience, we wanted to know exactly what was going on before we shared.

Update from wife Kristina...
"Blake started getting sick on Friday September 6th. He started by saying he was not feeling well, had a fever with chills, and started having diarrhea and vomiting. We assumed it was a viral bug and but by Wednesday September 11th, he was still not feeling well and having high fever. My mom made him at least go to urgent care, where they thought he had the flu but the test came back negative. The doctor there thought it was a GI infection, wrote him an antibiotic, nausea medication, muscle relaxer, and pain pills. After we left, I tried getting Blake to go to the ER because neither of us thought it was a stomach bug but he didn't to spend more money going to the ER and wanted to give the antibiotics a chance to work.

On Friday September 13th, Blake was still feeling horrible and running 103 temperatures that Tylenol was not able to break, so I made him go to the ER. The ER doctor diagnosed him with bilateral lower lobe pneumonia and sepsis. He was admitted to my med surg 1 unit on 2 liter of oxygen. That night I stayed with Blake especially since he was having bouts of confusion. Around midnight on Saturday September 14th, his oxygen level started to decrease and they increased his oxygen level to 4 liters but he was only maintaining a 91% oxygen level. Around 4 am, the telemetry tech, who happens to be my boss, called and said Blake's heartrate was increased. At that time, Blake woke up and said he was having trouble breathing and started coughing up blood.

He was rapid responded to ICU where they put him on a CPAP but they couldn't get his oxygen level above 90% and his whole body was struggling to breathe. At this point he was in septic shock and all his vitals signs were horribly abnormal. His chest x ray showed that his pneumonia was now throughout both lungs entirely. I made the decision to intubate him so he would not struggle so hard to breathe. Once intubated, his oxygen level was 47% for 2 hours and they told me to call family because they didn't know if he would make it. I prayed to God to increase his oxygen levels and they slowly started to rise. Blake was not medically stable to be transferred at this point.

After a few hours, he became stable and they careflighted him via helicopter to Baylor Scott & White in Fort Worth where he is now, in the cardiovascular ICU.

The doctors say he has numerous positive qualities on his side such as his age, healthy heart & kidneys, and has no comorbidities. Unfortunately he is still intubated (on life support) and the doctors are saying it will be a very long recovery if he makes it through, but it's too early to tell what the future holds.

Blake is able to stabilize his own blood pressure without meds, he went from 100% of oxygen on the vent down to 60%, and his chest x ray started to look better today.

Doctors are saying it's a minute by minute and day by day situation so that's what I am doing. Keeping faith and we have so many people praying for him. We thank everyone who has reached out already and has been up to see him. Also we are so thankful for my mom watching our kids and othera coming to help my mom with the kids, so I can remain with Blake since he's so critical"

Blake has a very young family with his Wife, my best friend, Kristina and their 3 young children age 5, 3 and 1. Blake is so strong! He adores his family and is fighting this. He has a huge mountain to climb. Faith and love can move mountains! Please help us lift this family up and prayer and support and help him overcome this! The golf course is waiting!

Finally, please pray for my best friend as she has not left her husbands side for a minute since this has happened. In her crying words at the worst moment of her life, she said to me.... "Let Go and Let God, Let Go and Let God"..... I was so very scared for her but so proud and envious of her faith and strength. Please pray for wisdom and strength for her. She is so very strong, even though the world wants to be crumbling at her feet.

This entire family needs help from us! Krissy has not left Blakes side and is taking a leave from work. With neither of their incomes, they need help with everyday things that you and I take for granted. Any donations will go straight to Krissy so we can pay bills for them, take care of their small children, help with these massive medical bills, and ensure that Krissy has food, things she needs and a place to lay her head for a few hours while one us takes over watch.

If you can not donate, PLEASE SHARE AND PRAY! If you would like updates on Blake, want to offer prayers, donate food or your time please message or text me and we will get them to the right place! I will send all prayer messeges at once to her. All updates will be straight from Krissy herself.
If you contact Krissy directly, please give her a few hours to respond, she has so many things on her plate at this time. She may not reply, but she reads each and every one!

if you would like to donate straight to kristina's venmo account her name is  @KristinaKeith2231

One last request. Krissy, Blake and their families feel your prayers! They ARE working! I beg of you, please surround my best friend, her husband, their families and all of us that love them so very much..... with your never-ending prayers so much that they feel them deep within their souls.

Please hold your loved ones close. Dont take a single day for granted. Say I love you, and say it alot!
Thank you friends
