Prayers for Deshawn

Dear Family & Friends,
I'm reaching out to you because I've started a GoFundMe for my 16 year old nephew Deshawn Brown. Deshawn was recently a victim of bullying and was assaulted by a group of boys while attending track practice with his younger sisters, mother, and grandfather who is a disabled US Veteran. During the attack, Deshawn was thrown to the ground, knocked unconscious and stomped in his head multiple times. His 72 year old grandfather was attacked when he tried to intervene to stop the boys from beating his grandson and was left with a broken nose and fractured vertebrae. Deshawn’s injuries were even more serious; he remains in intensive care, has been in a comatose state for over a week and unable to breathe without a ventilator. The doctors don’t know if he will regain consciousness and if/when he does he will have an extremely long road to recovery. Our family has come together to provide financial support for his mother, D’Licia Brown, who is now unable to work, but still responsible for providing for her three children and her father in addition to the medical and legal fees that will result from this horrible incident.
