Prayers for Maynard LaVallie

We have started this page to keep family and friends informed on our dad and also allow an easy way for people to donate if they feel lead to, but most of all we ask for prayers.  On April 21, 2019 Maynard was admitted into the Emergency room with extreme pain in his body, after a night full of tests the doctors informed him they thought he could possibly have prostate cancer.  During the month of May our dad had multiple different tests done at different locations and finally on June 3rd, 2019, Maynard was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer and was told he would have 1-3 months to live without treatment, our family was devastated. But, our dad being the man of faith he is, reminded us that no matter the diagnosis, God has the last word. Family and friends came down in June and July to visit him and he was in pretty rough condition, at this point he had not tried any treatments. In June he personally got a call from the doctor at the cancer center about trying hormone treatment since Dad did not want to do chemotherapy. I can personally say we are thankful for a such a caring doctor who went out of his way to check up on our dad, I believe God used him in our Dads life.  Since starting hormone treatment Dad has gained an appetite and weight which was needed because he was mostly bones prior to this. His strength has also started to come back and he can now walk without a walker which he could not prior.
Many family members and friends have came to see him over the past few months and he seems to be the one encouraging everyone else, instead of needing to be encouraged as most would think. Our dad is a fighter, and has seen many people healed over the course of his ministry. Our God is faithful, and Dad will not leave this earth until God is finished with him. Amen!
If God puts it on your heart to give, we figured this would be the easiest place for most. The only insurance Dad had prior to finding all of this out was through IHS and none of the tests, treatments, or hospital visits were covered due to being at different locations than the IHS hospital. Unfortunately this has led to doctors bill over $20,000.00 thus far. I pray blessings over those of you who can give and those of you who cannot give and can just keep in prayer with our family for the ultimate healing of being cancer free. God Bless!
