Prayers for Owen

Donation protected
On Thursday Oct. 25 th Owen and Audrie didn't know what they were about to encounter. Owen came home with his back hurting went straight to bed , which Audrie says is totally out of charter for him. Friday morning Owen was still hurting but still managed to go to work. He didn’t want to call in. Owen works hard to provide for his family if you know Owen you know taking care of his family is his top priority . Audrie told him let’s go to the emergency room , he said no that he would be fine and went to work.

Owen and Audrie went to the ER later Friday evening the 26th thier world was turned upside down.  The resident doctors told them that there was a large mass on the kidney the size of a large potatoe. A CT scan was the done by 1:00 AM Saturday morning  the results showed stage 4 kidney Cancer that had spread to possibly one lung. The doctor wasn’t optimistic and said there isn’t a lot that they could do.

Audrie was devastated to say the least. Owen comforted Audrie assuring her everything would be fine. I have witnessed the undying love these two have for each other, my heart breaks for this family.

Dr. Ford was directed to Owen’s room by a very caring nurse , that seen the emotional tole this news took on them . Audrie describes Dr Ford as god sent.  He gave them some hope when he explained his specialty was the kidney and he had a plan to take an aggressive approach. No biopsy and wait two weeks for the results.

Owen underwent surgery Sunday at 8:30 AM . This was a very invasive hard surgery , the tumor was so large it had to be removed from opening up the abdomen the laparoscopic technique was not a option . The doctor explained that he removed the kidney and the cancer , but It is in both lungs.

Owen will be undergoing very aggressive
Chemo treatment at the City of Hope , Dr Ford wants him to start this treatment with only two week recovery giving him just enough time to be able to make the trip. Owen will endure Chemo every hour for three weeks while at City of Hope.

This is going to be a tough journey as Owen and Audrie navigate this uncharted road. When I approached Audrie with my idea to start this campaign , she spoke to Owen ,it was with great humility that they allowed this campaign to happen.

WhenRealizing Audrie needs to be by Owens side taking him to Dr. appointment which is going to be a added expense at this very difficult time , not to mention the other necessities that arise, like keeping the household running. While Owen is recovering it would be a blessing if Owen was able to do this in the comfort of home with his wife and family. Please continue to send prayers to this family .

This family has had enough tragedy within the last 6 months. I am very confident By the great showing of love and support from many many friend and family.  Than together we can help this selfless loving hard working father , Papa and Husband  and friend. We all know  Owen is a  proud man that doesn’t give up.   I ask that you please share this campaign and any size of donation is greatly appreciated .

Thank you in advance for helping this beautiful couple. You never know what you are going to wake up to. Please Remember to hug your loved ones and live each and everyday to the fullest.  We can all make a difference with our  giving hearts  ❤️! ❤️
