God is so good and we are seeing daily evidence of His hand over Milan. She will need His strength and healing power in the days and weeks through this journey. A financial donation will lessen the burden of medical bills and any other expenses  put on the family during this medical emergency. Gina is a personal trainer and is self employed. During this critical time both Gina and Kyle want to be by her side and stand together in nursing her back to health.

From Milan’s parents:
This is a story about our daughters Miracle. It all started on 1.10.2023, her 17th Birthday. Milan is a healthy young lady that has never had any health issues. Always loves Cheerleading, snowboarding and loves spending time with her friends and family. An All American, Blue eyed, 5’9 beautiful soul that dreams of becoming a Pediatric surgeon. 2 weeks ago Milan noticed a nodule on her neck that appeared to be a swollen lymph node. A week later she saw her Primary Care Doctor. A few days before the doctors appointment she developed a sporadic low grade fever that lasted 3 days. The Doctors initial preliminary diagnosis was Mono. The rapid test taken was negative. Labs and an Ultrasound of her neck were ordered. On Tuesday, 1/10.23, (her 17th birthday) we had started the morning having her Ultrasound performed followed by labs drawn. 2 hours after the labs were drawn, Milan became extremely fatigued, and agitated. That quickly escalated and she became pale and clammy. When she mentioned abdominal pain, her mom knew something wasn’t right. The decision was made to take her to the ER. Upon getting her up to take her to the ER she collapsed and appeared to seize/ posture and needed to be stimulated to start breathing again. 911 was called by her younger brother as her Mom performed CPR and talked to Milan. Milan was transported code 3 to the ER where a multitude of tests were done, scans performed and she was given multiple Medications, Antibiotics and Blood products. A critical transport team was requested immediately. Shortly after their arrival, her condition deteriorated even more. Milan went into cardiac arrest. CPR was performed for approximately 2 minutes. By the grace of GOD she was resuscitated. In efforts to get Milan stable enough to transport, it was determined she needed emergency surgery as a last resort effort to stabilize her. The surgery was to determine if the unknown fluid in her abdomen, as seen on the CT scan, could be the reason for her decline. The surgeon found a 2” laceration/tear on Milan’s spleen which resulted in 2.5 liters of blood loss in her abdomen and the spleen being removed. Once surgery was complete, she remained in the ICU for approx. 12 hours in critical condition on a ventilator, fully sedated. During that time, she received multiple medications to aid in Blood Pressure regulation and infection prevention. She also continued to receive blood products to provide Blood Pressure Support and to aid in maintaining her hemoglobin levels. In total Milan was given 10 units of Red Blood Cells, 10 units of fresh frozen Plasma and 2 units of Platelets in a meer 10 hours. This allowed her vitals to become stable enough to transport via airship. At that time, Milan was transported to a Level 1 Trauma center where she was admitted in Critical Condition to the Pediatric Intensive Care unit under the watchful eye and multiple specialists. Over the next 4 days, Milan would receive another 13 units of blood. Of that, 10 Red Blood Cells, 1 Unit Plasma, 1 Unit Platelets, and 1 unit Cryo Precipitate.. Miraculously, 2 days later, Life Support was removed. Exactly 1 week later, she was able to get up from bed and take her first steps.

Our family asks for you to lift Milan and her family up to God and pray for a complete recovery.
