www.facebook.com/prayersforJaiden September 14, 2015 Jaiden was air lifted to Lubbock TX after having what we thought was the flu all weekend. She was diagnosed with strep meningitis and an immune disorder, and a devastating chain of events occured. Fluid built up in her brain to the point of severe damage in her brain stem. They were able to drain it, but there is nothing they can do about the damage. On top of the extensive damage that the meningitis caused thought her entire brain.
She is currently in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in a vegetative state. She has made drastic improvements from the coma she was in for a few months, but it's not likely she will ever come out of the vegetative state.
So we're looking at very extensive long term care. Our insurance has unfortunately dropped the ball on almost everything. They refuse to cover her formula, feeding supplies, diapers, and many other items she needs for her daily care and comfort... Basic necessities to keep her ALIVE they have refused to cover.
we are struggling and on the verge of losing everything. Our home, etc. we have 3 other babies to care for as well. Rilynn is 4, Easton is 2 and Hudson is only a few weeks old. We're trying as hard as we can to stay afloat, but it seems like the doors are always being closed in our faces for help.
Thank you all for your continued love, support and prayers in this very difficult time. If anyone knows of and resources, charities, etc. in Texas please let us know. We need all the help we can get.
