Our Journey Is Just Beginning.....
My daughter has had multiple procedures and surgeries done, but on March 11, 2015. I was informed by my daughters doctor that due to the Steve-Johnson Syndrome (Tens), that her eye cells are dead and she will never be able to see again, but was presented with several options and we chose a transplant procedure where she will receive 50% of either her father or my eye stem cells whomever is the best candidate, and 50% from an anonymous donor. With prayer and faith this will restore her vision followed by 5 more surgeries. My daughter, her father, and myself will be traveling to a Donor Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio for one week in which the transplant will take place.
Unfortunately, my daughter's insurance will not cover the cost for these procedures out of state.
I am praying that with the help of family and friends, this will make her surgery a success and she will regain her eyesight to take care of her two boys and herself.
