Medical equipment for TJ

TJ is a ten year old boy suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a fatal muscle wasting disease with no cure.   He wants to be like every other little boy who can run, jump and climb stairs, however Duchenne has taken this away from him.  He loves video games, Camaros, SWAT, war history, and his little brother who is always helping him.

TJ lost the ability to walk or stand a two years ago and is now in a powerchair full time.  He has also lost the ability to use his upper body for support.  He also suffered a cardiac event that caused severe heart damage this August, 2019 and his mother is not able to work while caring for him at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia.  We are raising money to purchase medical equipment and to do modifications so that we won't have to move away from friends, family and the extremely supportive school system that we are so fortunate to have!  Currently we need our bathroom changed to be accessible and a new wheelchair van for transport.  These things are not covered by insurance.

Help us take this first step! As he loses the ability to be independent, we are trying very hard to compensate and keep him active at home and in the community.
