Support Jen Zappia in Her Cancer Battle

Donation protected
Dear Friends and family,

Jen Zappia, mother of 3 beautiful children - Izzy, Zander and Tyler and wife to Justin recently discovered invasive cancer after a preventative double mastectomy.

Jen’s Story:
October 2023 Jen went in for a routine mammogram and got a call back for more screening. Two biopsies and a MRI later the decision was made for a preventative double mastectomy for precancerous tissue that was found on both biopsies. May 8th, Jen underwent surgery and a mass was removed that measured 15cm. Pathology reports revealed that there was invasive cancer within the tissue. Now she will have to have a second surgery June 7th for lymph node removal and biopsy and additional testing to determine metastasis. She is also establishing care with medical oncologist who will manage treatment.

The Battle Ahead:
There are a lot of unknowns for Jen and Justin at this time. Their prayer is that they would remain steadfast in their relationship with Jesus, That the Lord would protect their family and marriage during a time of hardship and uncertainty and that the Lord would use this trial for his good. Showing their children and them alike his love for them and that the truth remains: he is their good good father!

The Ask:
Many of you have already blessed them and come alongside them and have been the hands and feet of Jesus. Providing meals, help with the kids during Jens recovery, prayer, words of encouragement. Thank you from her family here in Boston - we appreciate you.

What we are asking now is coming from a place of humility and a desire to serve them in a very tangible and necessary way. We want to support them financially in a way that eases the burdens that have and will come due to this hardship they are facing. We are launching this GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising $50,000 to support the Zappia family during this challenging time. Your generous contributions will directly assist with medical expenses and alleviate financial burden caused by Jen's inability to work while undergoing treatment.

Closing Words:
Thank you for taking the time to read Jen's story and for generously supporting her and her family. Together, we will make a difference in her life and support her in her journey of overcoming this challenge.

“Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.”
