Praying for Miracles: Support for Camryn’s Recover

I am asking for continued prayers and support for my best friend, Camryn Herriage. On February 10, she was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident, resulting in a torn aorta, a completely broken C1, brain swelling and bleeding, and over 20 breaks throughout her body. After 2 months in the ICU dependent on a ventilator, her perseverance shines as she is now breathing on her own. Camryn's journey ahead is uncertain and challenging. After 5 surgeries, and multiple procedures, Camryn continues to fight. She still faces at least 2 more surgeries and months left in the ICU and a Neuro rehabilitation facility.

 

In this moment of profound grief, we also remember Sara House and the others who were affected by this tragedy. This horrific accident reminds us of the preciousness of life and the impact of this event on so many.

 

Camryn's survival so far is nothing short of miraculous. Her stability, under these circumstances, speaks volumes of the incredible strength and resilience she possesses, and the power prayers and positive thoughts from all of you. Yet, the road to recovery is expected to be long and filled with obstacles. Doctors anticipate a recovery period of at least two years, during which Camryn will face significant challenges, including adapting to life with a wheelchair.

 

The financial toll on the Herriage family, who rely on commission-based income, is immense. The priority, understandably, is Camryn's recovery, which puts an additional strain on their financial resources.

 

This is why we've initiated this GoFundMe campaign—to alleviate the financial burden on Camryn's family, allowing them to focus entirely on her recovery without the added stress of financial instability. Your donation, no matter the size, will directly support Camryn's medical expenses, rehabilitation, and the family's ability to be there for her every step of the way. Sadly, the rehabilitation will have no insurance coverage and is vital in Camryn’s recovery.
