Prayers for Kingston and Relief for Shannon
Donation protected
You pray that in your lifetime you do not have to make one of these, but today we are here to ask for prayers and some financial relief for my sister Shannon and her little family.
Kingston Dean was born on 1/5/23 and shortly after birth a unknown birth defect was detected.
Updated by Shannon;
Kingston was born with a birth defect called Esophageal Atresia. This means his esophagus was not reaching his tummy. He was unable to keep anything down and had fluid clogging his lungs. Today was one of the scariest days of my lives as he had to have immediate surgery and the wait felt like years.
In his short life Kingston has endured two major surgeries. His first was to correct the birth defect and the tireless Drs worked on him for over 5 hrs. Then yesterday air was found outside his lungs and an explorative surgery was performed. They put a sealant on his trachea and esophagus repair, but was not certain that is where the air is coming from.
Kingston is resting comfortably and fighting to repair his fragile little body. The Dr’s are estimating a possible stay of 4 weeks. 4 weeks more until he can meet his sister and all his cousins . Your prayers and thoughts are greatly appreciated.
As many of you know my younger sister Shannon is a single mom to Mila and Kingston. I cannot imagine what she is going through and want to relieve some of the burdens she faces. As of right now we do not know the medical bills and she has yet to apply for maternity leave as her focus is on her kids. Life goes on in the form of bills and food and travel. Shannon is needing to travel to Enumclaw, Bonney Lake, and Tacoma multiple times a day sometimes in order to care for Mila and get her to childcare, school, and back to Kingston so miles and gas. Many a times she is forgetting to eat, so food from the cafeteria or DoorDash. Sleepless nights even a coffee might brighten her day.
Any and all support is appreciated. The littlest act of kindness shines through the darkest nights.
