Support Michael's Family in Their Time of Loss
Donation protected
On July 8th, 2024, at 12:02 pm at Joe DiMaggio hospital, my brother and sister-in-law were faced with the sudden and untimely death of their son, Michael.
Our entire family is devastated by this tragedy and trying to hold it together.
In my sister-in-law’s words,
“Losing a son is a pain that cannot be described in words. It is virtually impossible to move on from the memory of losing the boy who gave meaning to our lives. Time stands still in this real-life nightmare.
Michael was the most beautiful person inside and out. He gave such life to anything he set his mind to. His adventurous spirit lit up any room. He was so incredibly smart. He had the kindest heart and cared so much for others. He would drop anything to help someone in need. You need your lawn cut, or car detailed, or something built? He was right there to help. He was the funniest guy, always knew how to make you laugh. He loved baseball, fishing, surfing, BMX biking. He loved going to North Carolina and hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa. He loved his independence and he had such a free spirit. He was a defender. No matter what, he had your back. He was a Mama's boy completely. He would always make a point to tell Mom and Dad how much he loved us. He was very affectionate. Those are the qualities and memories we will always cherish.”
We lost a loving son, nephew, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend. Our lives are shattered and will never be the same. Please keep my brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, and niece in your thoughts and prayers in the weeks ahead and pray that they'll gain the strength they need to keep moving forward. My brother and sister-in-law are feeling a pain no one should ever feel.
Out of this terrible tragedy, Michael left this world as a hero. He saved 6 people’s lives. His legacy will live on in those he helped save, and we are so proud of him.
I'm asking for any help from friends and family no matter how small from a hug, a card, flowers to donating to this GoFundMe for service arrangements for Michael, out of work expenses, hospital expenses, and much-needed family therapy, etc. to help survive their tragedy. I thank you for any support, love, prayers, calls, messages, food, hugs you offer our family. We are forever grateful for a community of friends and family who are always there.
