Pregnant Woman & Husband Murdered

It is with deepest sorrow I’m creating this GoFundMe account. My beautiful cousin Jessica Hanson Hernandez, her husband Clyde Hanson and their unborn daughter Annika Hanson were viciously and violently murdered by Clyde’s own brother Brent Hanson in South Dakota. Court documents show Jessica had reported an assault by Brent back in July 2021.

A welfare check was issued on Wednesday 12/15/2021 to the Milbank police department. When the police entered the residence, the bodies of Jessica (8 months pregnant) and her husband Clyde were discovered. The couple had been deceased for approximately 2 days. Their two-and-a-half-year-old son Ty was the sole survivor. He could be heard from outside the residence hysterically crying due to hunger and dehydration.

Jessica & Clyde were kind, modest people, and devout Christians. Jessica leaves behind her lovely innocent son Ty, her parents Manuel & Helen, along with her two older siblings Jamie & Jasmine. Shocked and utterly distraught do not begin to describe the condition my family is in. As we come together to support the Hernandez family, our immediate focus is on getting 3-year-old Ty out of state custody & into the warm embrace of Jessica’s family; along with transporting her back to New York to lay to rest.

With this devastation comes a substantial amount of sudden financial expenses we simply do not have. I’m reaching out to the community for financial assistance during this unimaginable tragedy. The money will be allocated for funeral expenses & travel expenses as Jessica’s immediate family do not live in South Dakota and need to retrieve important documents for her son Ty.
