Pregnant women killed at The Rescue Mission

My name is Alisha Carter and I am the older sister of 26 year old Apreona Harris who was 9 months pregnant when tragically shot and killed recently while seeking supportive services from the Rescue Mission.

Apreona was an enthusiastic vibrant young woman with a free spirit with a love for culinary and aspirations of becoming an actor. She possessed many talents and was very creative. She had a heart that was pure as gold and she loved to spread positivity amongst friends and family.

Her greatest motivation were her children who she loved unconditionally. Apreona strived to be the perfect mom always aiming for perfection. However, due to life challenges caused by childhood trauma Apreona suffered from several mental health disorders and struggled with prescribed medications substances use disorder.

At this time our family is seeking financial assistance which would be used for funeral expenses to ensure proper burial as well as essentials for my nephew. We understand the holidays are near but any donation would be greatly appreciated, Thank you in advance.
