PRES UNICEF GET A VACCINE GIVE A VACCINE CAMPAIGN

The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc in every community and country in the world. While the majority of people in Ireland have been able to receive vaccinations free of charge, those in less developed countries have not been so lucky, with huge numbers of vulnerable individuals and healthcare workers being unable to access vaccines. The UNICEF Get a Vaccine Give a Vaccine campaign is the largest global vaccination programme in history, and aims to address this profound vaccine inequality. We are all very much aware of the danger posed by the development of new variants and the central message that no-one is safe until everyone is safe. Humanity has the ability to end this pandemic, but it will require a global effort. We are faced with a once in a generation opportunity of historic significance to do something amazing. We in the Pres community are hereby urging all with the means to do so to think about the vaccines that we and our families have received, to dig deep and to contribute €100 per family and to Get a Vaccine Give a Vaccine.
