Preserve Geoffs Legacy & Save The Horses

Hi Everyone, I am reaching out on behalf of Geoff Guest in Petford.

Geoff is a 96-year-old man who has spent most of his life helping people/ teenagers with a history of abuse, mental health, drug and alcohol addictions, childhood trauma, and domestic violence. Over 4000 young children have gone through this property having left with a much stronger sense of belonging and identity, and more able to handle the world's challenges and the day to day life.

Goeff and his Wife Norma changed many people's lives, including helping many local Aboriginal people by getting back onto the country, connecting to horses via healing methods of horsemanship and eating a healthy diet. He is well known for his Evidence-based Framework for Building Healthy Young People (Michie, 2020). Geof says, "There is still plenty more to do" The focus now is to still help families via his renowned and proven rehabilitation methods.

Geoff is having a hard time currently and needs community support to get the basics to get him up and going again.

After some break-ins that have happened in the last few weeks on the property a lot of basic things have been broken.

A lot of his projects to grow feed for the wild horses have been destroyed. This includes a hydroponics setup that was initiated and community-led.

Shockingly, over 80 plus wild horses were shot in the last few months.

These were horses that had been gentled and many people had connected with them over the passing years, via his property.

This is Geoff's way of life and main source of income. The impact it has had is truly devastating! Things have been really hard emotionally and physically there for Geoff. There is only so much a 96-year-old man can do to stop this from happening and to help himself and the wellness center get back on track.

What your donations will go towards:

*Water Pump for the creek

*New Solar System (currently has no power)

*Feed for horse (Hay and Malases)

*Medical supplies to help horses recover

*Day-to-day basic needs of his own (food, supplies, gas, ect)

What other areas can you help Geoff:

*Working bees on the property, helping clean and tending to the horse yards, cleaning up the space.

*Help doing handyman jobs on the property

*Helping get future projects off the ground and running

*Assistance gentling horses and supporting Geoff to rehome them

Financial donations are also needed to keep his property going and to feed and care for the wild horses. A lot of them are hurt and are now in rough shape due to the shooting. Here I speak directly to the well-being of these Horses, which is a great concern for Geoff. Many of them need medical attention.

Please help him get back on track so he can continue doing the great work he does with the people of our community. Geoff still has a big vision for the health and well-being of this community. 96 years old and still out there making the world a better place.
