Preserve History: Repair Rolling Hills Asylum

Donation protected
The purpose of this fundraiser is to support building and property repairs for the historic Rolling Hills Asylum located in East Bethany, New York. The building sits on the site of the original Genesee County Poor Farm which opened in 1827. Later iterations of the property include the Genesee County Infirmary (1938), and Genesee County Nursing Home (1964-74). Many buildings still stand on the property dating back multiple time periods of the property's history which are in need of repair so they can be preserved and shared with the world. Our top priority is to repair the roof in the East Wing of the building that sits over the dining room which has not been open to the public in over 15 years. We do not receive any public funding and all operations costs and repairs are supported through ticket sales (events can be found at www.RollingHillsAsylum.com) and private donations. We appreciate your support to save this important part of Western New York's rich history.
