The Alliance of Monterey Area Preservationists (AMAP), commissioned a new historic report confirming the 100-year-old Pebble Beach Equestrian Center (PBEC) IS HISTORIC and has been found eligible for the California Register of Historical Resources and the National Register of Historic Places. In order to retain legal representation to move forward, we are soliciting funds to prevent the destruction of the PBEC. Timing is critical because the Pebble Beach Company has already requested a permit for demolition.

The historic Quadrangle has been in continuous operation since it was created by the founder of Pebble Beach, S. F. B. Morse in 1924. It is likely the oldest, original commercial building in the Del Monte Forest with public recreational access to miles of equestrian forest trails and the only public access equestrian anchor to the one-of-a-kind California Coastal Commission’s 30-mile coastal equestrian trail.
