Preserve Rice Street Gardens

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit the Rice Street Gardens, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to me.

For over seven years, 260 families, most of us immigrants, have been gardening at Rice Street Gardens. These gardens not only provide food for over 1000 family members but healthful exercise, and mental well-being. We meet friends from many ethnic backgrounds, celebrate, and have fun together.

Unfortunately, the two-plus acres we garden on are now for sale, and we fear commercial or other developments will swallow up our beautiful, life-giving gardens. We need to raise funds to purchase the site, hopefully for 50 to 100 years.

Honestly, we need a lot of donations, either from you, foundation grants, or government money to pull off this purchase. We have already raised about $300,000 and we have set the goal for this GoFundMe initially at $50,000. So let us know of other people who might help.
