On the morning of Sunday 5/17 Presley Rose was camping with her daddy, sister, and friends when the chair she was sitting in tipped over causing her to fall into a campfire during breakfast. Presley received significant third degree burns to her right arm as well as her left hand and bilateral legs. She was transported from a hospital in New Braunfels to the burn unit at University Hospital where she has remained under the care of some of the best doctors and surgeons in the nation. Presley has been dubbed a “superhero” by her medical team and family, proving to be so brave and good spirited with a sweet smile on her face in the midst of some of the worst pain imaginable enduring excruciating debridement’s and wound care.
Unfortunately Presley will require skin graft surgery to ensure her skin heals and her pain is controlled. Additionally, she will have a long road to recovery including physical and occupational therapy to ensure proper functionality to her hands, arms and legs as well as follow up wound care and specialty appointments.
This Go-Fund-Me is to help Presley’s parents with medical costs and lost wages. Presley’s mommy and daddy will both be assisting Presley with all of her appointments, home care, and extra attention she will require. Lindsey, a pediatric nurse will be missing shifts to aid Presley in her healing and recovery. Those of you that know James or Lindsey know how deeply they both share an unconditional love for their two beautiful baby girls. Those that know our loving Presley Rose know what a gentle fun spirit she is, bringing light wherever she goes.
We would like to help lift any financial burden on Lindsey so she can focus on Presley’s care and ensure she can give Presley and Kambree all the love and attention they both deserve in the midst of this tragic accident.
