Megan’s 72 Mile Challenge Against Cancer
Donation protected
Hey all! Megan here :) Thanks so much for clicking the link and hearing about what I'm doing! This month, as some may know, is breast cancer awareness month. Additionally, last month was uterine cancer awareness month as well as lymphoma awareness. This year marks FIVE years since my mom passed away from cancer and its honestly the first time I've felt comfortable enough to share her story, help spread awareness, and engage in fundraising. This is something I’ve wanted to do for so long….but, timing is everything :)
During the month of October, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has developed a 72 mile challenge. This is just one of the many challenges this month bringing awareness to all different types of cancer and illness as well as promoting healthy habits and lifestyles. I’ve personally chosen to participate in the 72 mile challenge because it’s hard….and we CAN do hard things! I’m doing this alongside someone I deeply care for who is affected by CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia) and absolutely crushing his journey and changing the game! In addition to the challenge, I also hope to raise money to donate to two specific organizations. At the end of the month, any money raised will be split with half going to a nonprofit organization called The Breasties and the other half will go towards a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
I hope to share more about both of these organizations and how they bring awareness and support to those in need. I will also share more of my story and how cancer has impacted my life and those of people I deeply care for affected by these diseases. Thank you so much for supporting my efforts and helping me reach my goal! It means so much to me to be able to give back and support the research and fight to find a cure!
love you all!
Megan
