Aruba ‘Happy to Give Back’ Relief Fund
Friends of Aruba, join the ‘Happy to Give Back’ Aruba relief initiative
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought along dire health, economic and social challenges. Our ‘One Happy Island’ – Aruba – is no exception.
Since our Island highly dependent on the tourism industry, the majority of our citizens have been financially affected. Consequently, approximately 15,000 families and elders will need support from our local food banks and meal programs. For this reason, we are reaching out to all international friends of Aruba through the Happy To Give Back Aruba crowdfunding campaign. Although everybody is affected, we hope that some of you are able to give a small share in order to help us overcome this devastating situation. You can choose to make a one-time or monthly donation.
CEDE Aruba, (The National Social Fund) seeing the impact COVID-19 has had on our community launched the ‘Happy to Give Back’ initiative back in April. This initiative is aimed at raising funds by reaching out to both local and international friends of Aruba and support the local food banks and meal programs.
Your contribution will help with:
FPNC food packages for a family of 4 - $300 a month
YMCA warm meals, 7 days a week - $70 a month
BAN UNI MAN breakfast for schoolchildren - $20 a month
· 75% of proceeds go to "FPNC" – The National Food Bank – to support families in need with food packages and other necessary support.
· 15% of proceeds go to "Ban Uni Man Pa Cria Nos Muchanan Foundation" – a school breakfast program to support children in need with a daily breakfast.
· 10% of the proceeds go to YMCA’s meals-on-wheels program to support people who are not able to cook or without cooking equipment.

A non-profit Christian organization whose mission is to strive for spiritual, intellectual, and physical well-being of individuals and wholeness of communities. Their meals-on-wheels program has been helping our community out by delivering 300 warm meals a day.
Ban Uni Man Pa Cria Nos Muchanan
School breakfast program
Since 2001, this foundation has been making sure less fortunate children receive their daily breakfast at school. ‘Happy to Give Back’ is supporting this program for the upcoming schoolyear, in which 650 are already enrolled to receive their breakfast.
We cannot wait to welcome you back and rebuild our one happy island together.
Masha danki,
Happy to Give Back
I'm Monica Nucete, a Florida born teacher in Aruba and volunteer for CEDE Aruba and I'm Happy to Give Back. As a secondary education Biology teacher in Aruba I have first-hand experience with the struggles that our island is going through due to the corona crisis. CEDE Aruba is a trustworthy foundation on the island, their accounts are published every year on the internet and I see all the good things they do for Aruba, for the elderly and children who need it most. With all of our help I know that together we can overcome these rough times while avoiding a social crisis in our happy island.
