What is #PRIDEEXTENDED?
A reclamation of the TLGBQ+ movement. We honor our Black trans and non-binary ancestors and our experiences today by advocating for ourselves. Despite dystopia around us, we look forward to a world that centers our security and our peace. 24/7, 365. Not just in June.
Who does #PRIDEEEXTENDED serve?
We aim to preserve affinity within Black trans and non-binary communities.
We center the well-being and security of Black trans and non-binary people.
What does #PRIDEEXTENDED do?
We share *Black trans and non-binary crowdfunding campaigns in our networks. We utilize art and community organizing as a means to build and preserve the security and well-being of our community.
Why does this matter?
Boston , and this country at large more than often attempts to deny the historical significance of *Black trans people and our role in what has come to be commercially known as PRIDE. Our roots at Stonewall exist because of the fight and the advocacy for and of Black trans women. Our time is all the time. While we are the history, we are also at the center of racialized gender-based violence.
What will the money be used for?
The money raised from this campaign will go directly to people on our redistribution list. The list is updated on a rolling basis. If you or someone you know are a Black trans and/or gender-nonconforming person with needs, feel free to reach out via email or instagram (@PRIDEEXTENDED )
