Support Pride in Education: Help Us Continue Advancing LGBTIQA+ Inclusion in Schools
Pride in Education is an unincorporated association run by three dedicated volunteers who are passionate about creating inclusive, celebratory spaces in the education sector. We are committed to advancing LGBTIQA+ inclusion in schools, universities, and educational institutions across the globe—but we can’t do it alone.
We need your support to continue this important work. Your donations will help us:
- Pay our speakers fairly for their invaluable contributions to our webinars and events.
- Establish an LGBTIQA+ hub at the Festival of Education
- Keep our website running, so it can remain a resource hub for educators around the world.
- Expand our reach and provide more free webinars and resources to teachers, students, and educational leaders worldwide.
- Since our founding in June 2020, Pride in Education has rapidly grown from a small virtual conference to an international platform that provides essential tools for educators to foster LGBTIQA+ diversity and inclusion in their classrooms. Run entirely by volunteers, we rely on public support and donations to continue delivering free, high-quality resources to education professionals everywhere.
We work to challenge the rising tide of hate and ensure that all young people feel valued and supported, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
We’ve been able to tackle a wide range of topics, including:
- Celebrating asexual and aromantic identities in education
- Understanding intersex identities and Differences in Sex Development (DSD)
- Inclusive Relationship and Sex Education (RSE)
- Mental health and well-being in the LGBTIQA+ community
- Best practices for supporting LGBTIQA+ students with disabilities
But to keep this vital work going, we need your help.
While we’ve been fortunate to receive some sponsorship, our new ethical funding policy restricts the types of corporate sponsorships we can accept, making individual donations more important than ever. Every contribution—big or small—makes a real difference.
Here is an illustration of what your contribution goes towards:
- £30 covers the annual cost of maintaining our website domain, keeping our resources and updates accessible to all.
- £50 contributes to the promotion of our initiatives on social media, helping us reach more individuals and organisations who can benefit from our work.
- £100 enables us to create impactful online resources, such as toolkits, guides, or educational materials, accessible to everyone.
- £250 supports us in exhibiting at important educational conferences, allowing us to connect with key stakeholders and amplify our message to a broader audience.
- £300 enables us to afford BSL interpreters for an event, ensuring our work remains accessible and inclusive for Deaf attendees.
- £500 helps us deliver a free, high-quality webinar, ensuring our expert speakers and dedicated organisers are fairly compensated for their invaluable contributions.
- £5 000 allows us to deliver a one-day in person conference
- £18 000 enables us to deliver a LGBTIQA+ hub at the Festival of Education providing a space for LGBTIQA+ organisations to exhibit and also a dedicated tent to host speakers across two days
We can’t do this without you. Your support is crucial to continuing our mission and making education a space where all young people feel seen and celebrated.
Please donate today and help us keep making a positive impact. Together, we can create a future where every child is recognized and supported for who they are.
