Primary Macedonian School Upgrade!

In the Summer of 2016, while visiting Macedonia, I journeyed to the rural village of Kuchevishte.  I visited its primary school Sv. Kiri i Metodij.  The primary school Sv. Kiri i Metodij services students  ages 6 to 15 from this rural yet diverse community.  I met with the Director and the faculty and discussed many the obstacles that the faculty and students face. Classrooms that are run down and supplies are scarce.  This school has dire need for upgrades for even their most basic teaching materials. Chalkboards that can't be written on, out of date and unusable printers and computers with old software, one projector for over 30 teachers, a school library with books over 20 years old.   Limited disposable resources for teachers to use. I wanted to help enrich this diverse community by raising money to help purchase the necessary tools needed to provide a meaningful education! that will be used to help the 250+ students and faculty of Sv. Kiri i Metodij! After meeting with the Director and faculty, we created a list of items we would purchase for Sv. Kiri i Metodij .

-White boards to replace the  unusable chalkboards in each classroom($104 each)
-Projectors  ($105)
-Projector screen for each classroom($84/$123)
-Laminator for teacher to make reusable and sustainable resources for their students ($64)
-A printer/copier machine ($105)
-Radios/ CD players for classrooms
-Paper cutter ($61)
-Bulletin Boards for each class so students'can be displayed
*Extra funds will be used to purchase in-class technology such as tablets for the students!

All items will be purchased for the school by the director, selected faculty member and myself in Macedonia in order to save shipping costs. I will be returning to the  Sv. Kiri i Metodij school, the summer  of 2017 to oversee this project.
