Rodney (or "Prince" as some of you may have known him; or perhaps even further — "Pops," to those closest to him), was one of the most wisest, inspiring, passionate, and studiously stoic souls to touch this Earth. If you got the chance to know him, much doesn't need to be shared but a kiss and hug. If you never happened to be graced by his empowering presence though — review the following interview. This was him to the T...
Robert Rodney Oliver III (son of Robert Oliver, Jr. and Martha Ellison Oliver — born in Detroit, Michigan) was an artist, entertainment personality, producer, and entrepreneur of recorded music and motion pictures. Also known by the moniker "Prince Royale," he established the multimedia conglomerate Kingdom Industries, LTD. Entertainment, Arts & Sciences in 1983 as his official thrust into the world's creative industries. Prince's essence has been known and continues to thrive through the innumerable creatives he spiritually and artistically mentored throughout his personal and professional paths. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Prince was known best for balancing the careers of becoming a radio personality (Announcer Training Studios), a songwriter (with Elektra Records & Budsky Music), a record producer (at Daily Planet / Planet Sound Studios), motion picture agent and manager (with The Writers Guild of America), as well as a road and musical assistant to Patti Labelle and his late cousin James "Budd" Ellison. In 1991, Prince established a new visionary venture called M. StageScene Communications (MSSC) for theatre, music, fashion & film with the love of his life, Susan Dulce Garcia. MSSC carries on Prince's legacy as a vessel for the youth and all creatives, with a determination to craft a safer, brighter, more equitable environment and future for imaginative individuals to have an unprecedented and strengthened livelihood from their creativity. Prince is survived by he and Susan's only son, Amir "Royale" Oliver, an artist, educator, and entrepreneur in his own right.

Dear Prince,
"You did the impossible.
68 Rotations. 25 years of parenthood.
Uncountable seeds of wisdom.
The growth of fruits in an endless heavenly garden you always foreseen.
A fierce defender of his God and family.
An influencer of spirit thought, word affluence and mental abundance."
Thanking you will forever be a mountainous task.

THOUGHTS FROM RODNEY'S SON:
"I can't really say I've been doing well lately...
I don't know though — I can't really say I've been doing terribly awful either. At the very least regardless, I wanted to try and thank each and every one of you for the kind words. This is still extremely hard for me.
I'm not very good at asking for help — but I sincerely do and genuinely need much, much more of it this time way more than any of my last few times through losing my mother or grandparents.
Not having Pops here is a financial scare, a legal mountain, and a grandios load of grief that I'm still not entirely comfortable sifting through right now, but I've been encouraged to voice what I can when I'm willing or able. So I'm trying.
Thank you again to the people who have been able to speak up for me when I can't about all this."
--
" That's why I do the things I do—
Cause I love you... "
