Princeton Spotted Lanternfly Initiative
We've created this GoFundMe to cover the cost of supplies for 100+ Spotted Lanternfly traps. Each trap can catch hundreds of lanternflies. These are environmentally friendly traps that are specifically designed to target Spotted Lanternflies by taking advantage of their tendency to climb up trees, especially lanternfly nymphs in May-July. These traps work best on trees that are heavily infested.
The funds will go towards wood, window screens, funnels, plastic bottles, twine, and Ziploc bags to make lanternfly traps. Each trap's materials cost approximately $8. In addition to material costs, donations will fund tools including staple and glue guns.
