Friends of Private Billy Kedian Air Ambulance Ballyhaunis, CO. Mayo.

We are fundraising to build & develop an Air Ambulance Base in Ballyhaunis, Co.Mayo. We hope to expand this in time with help & support from donations to become an acute assessment & treatment Base also.

Obviously this cannot be done without alot of fundraising & donations & support from people. We would be delighted of any donations great or small as every cent counts.

This is a very worth while & needed service in Ballyhaunis but also which will cover the West of Ireland & a very valuable service to each & every one of us & nobody knows when any of us will need or depend on a service like this.

Also in a critical suitation time is very important to get a person or persons treated & flown to the hospital that's needed to deal with that particular suitation.

We have seen & heard when Air Ambulance has taken a while & had to travel a distance & then not been able to land in particular areas has also proven a task & a waste of valuable time so as a result we have come together as committee & a team to try provide a better service & a crucial life saving service to our community, Mayo, Galway and Roscommon in general.

Private Billy Kedian Air Ambulance is been name after a 21 year old Soldier from Ballyhaunis, Co.Mayo whom was killed in the Lebanon in May 1999 while on peace keeping mission while been attached to the Army Barracks in Renmore in Galway. Billy was off duty but woke & alerted his comrades & got them to safety but unfortunate Billy got attacked before he got to safety. He saved many life's that day.

So as a school friend, work college & neighbours we have decided to name our Air Ambulance in Billy's honour
