Hi, my name is Karla Ramirez. I'm Bryan Ramirez's sister. On Sunday night, February 26th Bryan went out with a group of 6 friends. Ever since this night, he has been missing, I've talked to detectives from NJ who were very helpful in the process of locating Bryan, they tried their best. The problem is they have no power to do anything in NY where he went missing. This is what has caused my family to waste time finding Bryan. After going back and forth from UCPD in NJ to NYPD in NY the detective in NYC apologized for the negligence we experienced from the NYPD officers. Time was wasted due to the police officers who claimed I couldn't make a report where my brother went missing. Finally, on Friday after a whole week passed, the NYPD detective told my mom she can pick up his belongings and explained what he would be doing to find Bryan. His tribal bag with his ID, car key, and a medicine bottle was found by a construction worker. The NYPD detective looked into the cameras and followed Bryan's trail. What was said to my family is that Bryan walked alone from the bar to the bridge and that nobody was after him. In the footage I observed from enterprise, people were pushing him around and he ducked and ran. The detective said from the video he saw that Bryan ran away out of embarrassment from being rejected by a girl which I don't believe. Bryan was intoxicated this night and for that reason, the detectives told us he could have been hallucinating and jumped off the bridge. I have not seen this with my own eyes that's why I don't believe it. I was not allowed to view the video where he jumps off the bridge or where he walks in the street bu himself. The only thing shown to me as proof were pictures. If this is true his body still has not been found and my mother keeps going to NY to see what they are doing to find him. Due to the temperature of the water, they told us it was not possible to find him in the water and that we have to wait until he appears. When is that going to be? There's no technology they can use? The negligence at the beginning of this search for Bryan is unacceptable and all it did was make us waste time in finding him. I have received threatening calls from scammers trying to take advantage of this situation. since Sunday night my mother has not rested. Bryan Is loved by so many people and everyone who could help tried their best to put out flyers, go to hospitals, call people for advice and help, and talk to the bar owner to try and track him. This is why I want to hire a private investigator to do more digging and see what else they can find out for us about Bryan that the detective from NY can't do. My mom will not be in peace until he is found! For this, we need the funds to hire one. Anything you guys can contribute will help us get this moving faster and find my brother. In the news outlets and the media. Is it because my family is Hispanic? Is it because we aren't "Important" or is it because there's no benefit to finding Bryan?

Sunday afternoon bryan never returned my call, he would call me back when he couldn't answer my calls, but he just texted me and told me to change the price of the car he was trying to sell. I assumed he was busy so i waited for his call and i even left a voice message. When I started getting requests from people wanting to view the car I tried calling him again and again, but he never answered me which I found strange. When it got around 12-3 pm, his best friend called me asking me if I knew where he was. This is when I knew something was wrong, I called my mom and told her Bryan still isn't home. I immediately called NYPD to tell them I want to file a missing persons report. They claimed that since he lives in NJ I have to make the report here. This was a huge negligence on the NYPDS's part. Come to find out the reason I couldn't file a missing person report where he disappeared which is Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY was because of police who don't know what they were doing or could care less. Officer Ahmed claimed that the union City police department had to take care of this. It never made sense but since I didn't know i did what they told me. Until Friday detective cruz appeared and said he would look threw the cameras to track bryans trail he ended up obtaining the videos and proof of Bryan walking the streets, but couldn't show us. I was shown pictures of Bryan "walking the street himself" as the detective stated. What I find odd is that the last person who saw what happened, which was a truck driver called me and described to me that he saw Bryan. He confirmed what he saw, he described to me what he looked like and matched with the time that Bryan was said to be on the bridge. He told me he made a report that night and called the police, but no one ever took action to search. If the NYPD would have done what they were supposed to there would have been a different outcome.
