Priya's Legacy- Mia, Mark, & Payton

On the evening of Tuesday, June 8, 2021, without warning, we lost our dear sister, Priya. She kissed her children goodnight, told them how much she loved them and then began getting ready for the next day. She’d just finished the second day of her new job and was excited and hopeful about the future, as she continued to add to her legacy. Unbeknownst to us, this would be the final time our sister would take a breath on this earth. The purpose of this fund is to assist in covering future expenses for her children: 10-year old Twins, Mia and Mark, Jr., and Payton, who recently turned 7.  

One of our sister’s last comments was in regard to the care of her three children. Both of her sons are on the spectrum of autism: Mark, Jr., who will require specialized care for the remainder of his life, is loving, kind, and takes comfort in back-rubs, while Payton is very intelligent, rambunctious and loves to put on a show. Their sister, Mia, is a beautiful, smart, and wise-beyond-her-years girl, who takes care of her brothers and has big plans for college. We want to make sure Priya’s last wishes are honored. There were so many sides to our sister. She was a mother, wife, sister, friend and athlete, but, most importantly, an amazing person that touched the hearts of everyone she knew and made them feel special. 

In addition to her three beautiful children, Priya leaves behind the love of her life, college sweet heart, and husband, Mark, her loving parents, Artis and Enola, two sisters, Shawna and Tifany, and two brothers, OJ and Artis II.
