Bring Darren Home
Donation protected
On Friday, June 26th around 7PM Central Time, I received a phone call from Darren Stinchfield's boss that they had found him deceased in his truck near Chandler, AZ at the age of 49. At this time, it is unknown how Darren passed away but hopefully, we will have that information soon. Darren was a wonderful individual that would do anything for anyone if he was able to. He was a vibrant soul that touched everyone's life whether you were family, long time friend, or someone who just met him. While he loved driving the open road as a truck driver and his online friends..his heart always remained in Indiana with his family, especially his 14-year-old daughter Stormie, who he was so proud of.
As of right now, it is unknown whether Darren has life insurance and if I find out differently I will provide that information. There is a good possibility that he does not as he would have told me since he would have made Stormie his beneficiary via me. In Lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to help offset the expenses of bringing Darren back to Indiana and for his funeral.
I have been told it will cost 1500-2000$ to prepare him and to have Darren flown back to Indiana from Arizona so we can lay him to rest. This does not include the cost of the funeral home in AZ to prepare him and the expense of either burying or cremating him in IN. My primary goal right now is to bring Darren home so we can see him one last time before we lay him to rest. While cremating him in AZ is an option, I want to give everyone the closure they need and to provide him with a nice funeral service before he is either laid to rest next to his mom or cremated.
While I personally want this closure for myself, his sister, my son, his extended family, and friends....I especially want to provide Stormie with one last opportunity to see her father that she dearly misses and to say goodbye.
If you are local to us, we are setting up a way to make local donations, please contact me for more information. As Darren touched many people around the country and the world, we also set up this gofundme page if you would like to honor him with a donation of support. Any money that is left after expenses are paid will be set aside in a special account for his daughter. I am trying to quickly raise the funds so when they have completed his exam, I can have Darren brought back home immediately to allow his friends and family to have the closure they deserve and say their final goodbyes.
Thank you in advance for any donations and prayers. I will update all information here as soon as I receive it.
