Hello my name is Aubryauna, my dearest little companion. Who I found at a local gas station on my lunch break in the end of September of 2021. I took him for a check up on October 10th of 2021, Oliver presented as a spicey but normal healthy 5-6 week old male tabby kitten. Until he was neutered. Ever since being neutered 03/2022 he has experienced one medical issue after another. From urinary issues. To follow after Oliver had a long period of a lack of appetite resulting in weight loss by mid-end of 2022. 05/2023 Oliver then had a odd spike in what looked like “weight gain”. It was bloating and discomfort due to IBD just diagnosed end of 2023. Within the past 7.5 months or longer Oliver has been in constant pain he endures daily. He has been nothing but such a strong, cooperative, sweet boy throughout his history of medical challenges.

My beloved Oliver who is nearly 3 years old in September of this year, has had many complications on his road to establishing a treatment plan that helps improve his quality of life. Shortly after his diagnosis of IBD Oliver developed discomfort to his anus, muscular/ nerves spasms that are overactive and causing his anus to be expanded. During which I noticed periods of straining when ever passing stool from that point on. Approximately 2-4 months after initial signs of irritation apparent to the anus, Oliver later presented with a prolapse to his anus.is managed with many meds around the clock due to his IBD and worsening flair ups. That has varied between 3-6 pills 3x a day daily. Now Oliver is currently down to 2 pills, 2x a day daily for now. This will help his internal specialist get a better look and understanding of what is and isn’t helping to an extent. Oliver is also in a great deal of pain internally still externally as well He is recovering from his second reconstructive surgery to attempt correcting the prolapse. A procedure that one was unsuccessful and 2 had many complications . The colopexy, procedure two was performed March 22nd and has resulted to not being 100% successful. If I had to give it a percentage, I'd say 45% affective, maybe less. Olivers prolapse has worsened after the colopexy. Literally within an hour or so of the surgery. Currently, 03/25/24 my strong and brave Oliver is well enough through healing to remove his stiches, and cone. In addition he is now free from his crate. His complications required Oliver to be crated for a month. A month an a half after the colopexy, I continued to seek out help for Oliver. I will not settle. He is still is pain and again some how has a worsened case of prolapse to his anus as of 04/13. 04/04/24 Oliver was referred to a new doctor to address his case from here.

His appointment with his new care team was on 04/08/24. It was a three hour long appointment discussing Olivers health history to current health. His Doctors have a clear idea of his case and have at least been able to tell us we can get him down to one medication, and with proper diet change and time we may be able, to help him fully recovery without another surgery in the near future. His prolapse is still present, though it continues to decrease in volume over time with less episodes less frequently. Typically lasting half an hour max rather than hours or days of prolapse. As of recent he is eating well, showing great interest in play with his brothers. Oliver some how even though he still has a obvious prolapse half in size after a episode after passing a bm. Oliver seems perkier, his fur less course and dull, softer and more vibrant. I feel we may be close to really getting him the treatment he needs. We don't have a diagnosis or treatment plan yet. The Doctors are committed to and actively investigating his case. Currently we have a plan to help Oliver the best we can, to minimize his pain and discomfort. Oliver continues to show and tell me he isn’t willing to give up. I am not either. Oliver with time and maintenance care has a very bright and promising future. Oliver's needs have well before now exceeded my capabilities financially. To help Oliver I need to catch up financially with his medical debt, Oliver needs your help. Oliver is so close to getting back to his care free pain free self. His best years are yet to come.
